Oh, it's time.

Skipping Nick Cave is inexcusable. I remember I made my mom hate me for like a week last year because I was listening to the RAK version of "Kitchenette" without headphones and "BABY I WAaAaaAaaAaaANnNttTtT YoOoOouuuUuUUU, I WAaAAaAAANnNnTttTt YOU TO BE MAH FRIIiIeEeEEENNnD" was stuck in her head after that.

Been listening to a lot of Lee Hazlewood lately...

You never miss Nick Cave. Ever.

Listening through Camels (early) discography again, because of course I am.

It's one of those perfect albums for me. Every song on it is fantastic (which is almost always the case with Leonard Cohen), even/especially "Jazz Police", even tho lots of people seem to dislike that one when I show them. How can you not love this?

Yeah definitely.

And now that you have me stuck on Leonard Cohen for the next couple hours, my favorite version of "Who By Fire":

I make no apologies. Cheese like this takes me back to my youth. I'll probably put some shoegaze stuff on in a bit...
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

My favorite thing about that song is that you can hear Leonard Cohen trying to sing the last few lines of the chorus if you listen closely. I noticed it like a year ago, and it's my favorite thing ever.

I don't even know why, but I'm listening to this right now:

The only thing I can even understand is Peter Steele saying "hail Satan" in Latin at one bit.

Also, not sure if I've linked this before or not, but I love how happy Leonard Cohen sounds when he's talking at the start:
