If anyone does Twitter, I'm repurposing an old Twitter account that I never posted in or used for anything, for music recommendations. A lot of my friends ask me more or less every day for a recommendation for something to listen to, so I figured I might as well do something like this. Setting it up right now. Follow me or whatever. Link down below in my sig.

Hey so uh I made this video for my girlfriend's History of Rock & Jazz class project.

The assignment was to do a presentation on some particular musician. I convinced her to let me help her do one on Les Claypool.
The dude's local to our area anyways so.. We made a powerpoint presentation too but I used the opportunity to also edit some video.
First time video editing, my first youtube video. What y'all think?

What do I think? If I had the option to abort Hitler or Les Claypool, I'd choose the latter. 11 million innocent dead people is better than scores of wankariffic, overplaying bassists.

that's cool dude, kind of an extreme opinion though  the concept of overplaying is weird to me, but i get what you're saying.
i can dig it. As a bass player I tend to agree that the masses of Claypool wannabes is a tragic byproduct of one guy's approach.
The man can groove though and he's managed to maintain a unique tone and direction for about 3 decades now.. More than many can say.
With some folks it's just sour grapes all around, can't get into what the guy does. Which to me is unfortunate but, different strokes.
I guess i was more asking from a video editing standpoint, I'd never done it before and wondered if anyone here wanted to shit on my effort specifically.

One time a few years ago I asked my dad if he ever thought that there was even a fraction of a second where every person on Earth was asleep. I didn't think about it too hard when I asked it, but sometimes when I get bored I still think about it

Mostly now I just think of offshoots like when were the most people asleep at once

I knew that. I was just being a dick. I'll actually watch the video and give my best critique of the presentation in a bit. :thumb:

Two parter-

Eating pizza on the jogging route, sweaty folks keep giving me the combination "i am superior to you because I am working out and you are eating bad-for-you food" stink-eye and "oh hell that smells good" look. Amusing.

Also, schadenfreude abounds as a former, severely-unliked coworker is taking a bit of a pounding in the press the last couple of days.
