plz, call me snipz. (yeh, it's supposed to be like snipple, but I've spelled it the same way for so long...)

But seriously, you're not listening to The Faint? You should be. Gonna be seeing them on Friday over ten years since i first saw them at my first "big boy" concert. This one chick asked me to come with her since all of our mutual friends will be seeing supergay Brand New the same night.

Seriously though, been trying to get with this grrrl for a while...but also grrrl's from out of town might be coming into town and crash at my place that night...oh such "weird"...

...ladehs be hanging out, so whatevs...

daaaamn that casual brand new burn.

Listening to their KEXP right now. Pretty good. Reminds me a little of Ratattat (full disclosure I was fucked out of my mind the one time I saw Rattatt. great show. thread relevance. the total package) Bassist has flock of seagulls hair. Definitely a little dancier than my usual but I kind of expected that since you suggested it.

I like that one Ratattat song... (it's a joke because once you've heard one of their songs you've heard them all)

Really, for me The Faint will always be Danse Macabre and Wet from Birth...everything else is just meh...

It's like this one friend who is like "Yeah, Death From Above 1979, I listened to a couple songs off their new album..." It's like shmurrrrrrr....

Ugh, the new album is good(compared to the God-tier You're a Woman, but damn do the lyrics just kill it (in a bad way)).

How can you (as a band) disappear for a decade then come back with the most high schoolish lyrics ever?!?!?!??!?

Ask Brand New.

It took me a while to 'get' YaWIaM instead of just being like 'poppy lightningbolt no thank you.' It's a good one.

Oh baby. That is one of my favorite albums ever.

Explaining how much I love that album is very difficult because it's so damn much. As a drummer (I wasn't always one but I am now), Sebastien Grainger's playing...ughn...him with Bonham and Greg Errico are like my tops drum influences.

Actually got "chased" by the cops in my teens while smoking in a park. Trick is that they will never get out of their car here for a bunch of stoners so as long as you don't panic and run out onto the road trying to get away you're fine. Stay in da bushes.

Also ran about 500m with a box of honey weets in my hands down a main road because I thought the cops were onto me while I was tripping. Was just an ambulance, somebody had crashed on the highway just over the ridge.
