it's amazing how wasted i was when i posted that and i managed to not say anything really dumb or make any big spelling or grammar errors. hurray! anyway, yeah, dispirit was fucking amazing last night. among the best metal bands i've seen in like a decade. if not the best. my mind was blown. so definitely if you're in the northwest, go. quit your job or whatever you have to do and go see them. if you're unfamiliar, it's john gossard from weakling and asunder, two amazing bands. dispirit is his current project. they've put out a couple of amazing tapes, which are basically practice space recordings. even though every label you can think of is apparently begging on their knees to put out a record, he refuses for some reason. cult as fuck i guess. it's really hard to have a really unique sounding metal band these days that's really good, but they've achieved it. one of the most thoughtful and original bands i've heard. and the live set fucking crushes. don't miss it.

Nick, that's awesom and I'm trying to convince both bands they need that in their lives. because, they do. The one knobs I just got are so damn good. Both just nailed the sound from the demos and I have not even really gotten to know the od yet, but the time I have played with it, there is not a bad sound. cant happen. You know how it is when you are trying to help someone get on the right path and make the correct play? that's kinda how I feel about getting more dunwich on flux boards.

Old van is sold, long live the new van. God speed you ugly bastard.

i love this graphic. if i were good at the computer i would copy this idea and make a poster of this with our van. i fucking love vans. congrats on the new ride and this is a moving tribute to the old one. i'm so jealous that you got a short bus with a lift. fucking perfect.

i might try and go to that oly show myself, although i'll probably stay home and work. would love to see them again though.

if work goes well this week i'm gonna buy me a dunwich hm2 for my birthday. i've been wanting that shit for so long.

Getting ready to grab up this cheap ass sunn power amp, need a bass amp, what do you guys suggest I use as a preamp?

http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/msg/5114643493.html

Also, some more earth solid state love, should I grab this too? Maybe run this fucker into the sunn if possible?

Edit: Don't see any outs on the earth so probably not possible.

fallen wrote:I have tried to run the looper to only one amp of 2 and that does help. Makes it a bit easier to hear the loop as long as you have a clean enough amp to run the looper into. The ultimate would be a looper set up with a wet and dry out like old digital delays so you have both amps running unless a loop is playing. The loop would go to one amp and your dry signal would go to the other. Not sure why no one has built a looper pedal like that yet.

My Boomerang III has that as an option - if you're running into one of the inputs and out of both, you either get dry/loop or dry+loop/loop on L/R, depending on which of the inputs you're using.

Cheers man.
Fun yes. Do that.
I wanted to hack up my Laney badge to say "Lay me" but I'd need an extra arch for the "m".

Layme would be a more accurate desription of my musical stylings, however.

People should know that if I say, "ducking idiots" it means something entirely different.

Once it arrives we will get some specific coordinates and times ironed out and try and sync up riffs to see if we can cause earthquakes or something :doom:

Also autocorrect is dildos.

Finally finished assembling my one piece pine body P bass that I made from scratch. Mighty Mite neck, Dimarzio pickup, Emerson prewired guts, DR Nickel Lo-Rider strings. Got it all setup and working, sounds and plays great! It's been so long since I bought the parts and made the actual body, it's like I just got a free bass.
