What are you talking about politics for, the way I heard it you Texans are getting invaded :p. Don't worry, once you guys defeat the military Chuck Norris is sure to lead the independant state of Texas into an unprecedented age of prosperity.

Office needs to shut-down/retool entire internet so I get to do the last 4 1/2 hours of my shift from home.

Drove 22 hours from Texas to Michigan, made it here safely. Spending the week with friends and family.

politics isn't a sport for idealists. labour have their flaws, tories many more. sometimes the least worst option is better than doing nothing and getting the worst option by default.

i am anti the 1% 'haves' ass-raping the 99% 'have nots'. and labour are closer to that principle than the tories, however flawed.

if i was in nearby brighton i would vote green, as their policies are ultimately far closer to my ideals and they actually stand a good chance of election there.
but where i am that is a wasted vote. no proportional representation here so have to play the tactical game.

i would rather you got $15 to make a big mac than you starved to death while some parasitic property-speculating skank got another tax break for bleeding their tenants dry. that would be the tory way.

the us and uk economies are among the richest in the world and yet their record on distribution of wealth makes depressing reading.
i think labour is more likely to do something about that than tory. not as much as i want but the best i can hope to get with my vote.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure he Soni meant labour as in actual work labour, not the political party?

The dude put the wrong type of tape in it so it wasn't passing echo signal, that was the only major thing causing it to not work. could not fucking believe it.
It was pretty poorly maintained inside so i spent ages cleaning and polishing the tape heads, replaced pinch roller/felts/bearings etc but yeah. Fuck.

Haha oh man. I really wish/want his train of thought to have been "I have this $1000 piece of equipment, why isn't my Hootie and the Blowfish tape working in this? Piece of shit."

There's a 201 on Reverb for $500 and I think I might have to treat myself extra for my birthday coming up with a nice little project to fix.
