You people are amazing. I'm already drunk as shit cuz that is how I handle shit like this. I'll come around eventually. It feels good to talk to total strangers about this shit. I'll just listen to some Brian Jonestown and realize that I'll manage. It's just still the fact that she is my best friend, and I feel so apathic and lonely right now.
Wish you all the best gunslinger. Hope you get better dude <3

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
good wishes to Brandsmannen and gunslinger - hope things work out soon. As for me, I'm here today cause
-I fucked up my back yesterday, just by stretching a bit while sitting in a chair, and now I'm all stiff and bent outta shape like the Tin Man
-I started working an office job within my college - mon to fri, 35/hrs/week. I get paid and it gives me the internship hours I need to graduate next year, but I'm not into it very much because office environments are not my ideal habitat and I'm really tired of being in the school every day (my last semester ended just over a month ago, so I got some time off but still) and seeing the same walls, etc. Runs into the second week of August, then my next semester starts up early September. I'm gonna be a zombie by the time December rolls by.
-I can't play electric/use my Ampeg or board cause my the neck on my Mustang desperately needs a refret - it turns 50 next month. I have the money, but I make it a rule to separate gear money from savings, so until my jazz chorus sells I'm shit outta luck. I might cave if I haven't sold it by the time I get my first paycheck though, cause it's like not having an arm, haha.

I work at a facility for special needs children. Specifically ones that are violent or too impulsive to be at other places.
Anyway, we had a tornado/funnel cloud (no one is certain it touched down or not) appearing not to far from us. While trying to organize and get into a sheltered part of the facility
one of the kids starts fighting staff for no reason. Cause two other two become violent all while a under threat of tornado.
We never made into the shelter but the funnel cloud/tornado passed us. Called my boss (who never bothered calling to see if we were ok) about how it is bullshit that they have no plan for this kind of emergency.
To which she said we do and we do them every month and she has the paper work stating so. Turns out someone(s)(possibly her) has been forging the paperwork on our trainings.

This fucking horseshit happens everywhere. A couple weeks ago i was taking a look at a drive with my "trainer" so i lock it out as per specs on the lockout sheet, and just because i like to be sure, i ran my meter across each of the phases. Hey look theres twelve volts on this line. Told my trainer, who said, and i quote "thats just random voltage floating around on the lines". I told him I respectfully disagreed that there could just be twelve fucking volts floating around. So he says he's been doing this for a year and not to be a pussy and blah blah blah and reaches up to tell me its safe, and hey look the fucking circuit is live as fuck and the prints didn't show that the disconnect for this was moved to a different circuit. But people have been pencil whipping it for years.....
Today i hate the people at my job. Im sick of hearing [EDITED] and faggot every single day. eVERY SINGLE DAY. Im sick of hearing about god and jesus. Im sick of peoples bullshit stories about doing shit they've never done. I want to just walk in and crack some of the dudes in the face. I still might...but most likely I'm just going to get a few years experience and bail.

I hear you on that man, some of the ass hats that work with electricity and in machining is insane.

Houston is flooded and I've been without electricity for close to 24 hours. House is hot and muggy, all the food needs to get tossed and I might have to go through another night of it.

Lol, what else can we do when all the power is off?
But the power is back on now, huzzah! But now there is a beetle in my work area, so I can't go in there until my lady comes home to kill it...

My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer yesterday. She originally went into the hospital Wednesday because of low hemoglobin leaves and need a blood transfusion and they found a mass in her intestine. Doctor is scheduling her surgery now to remove part of the intestine for next week and hopefully they get it all and it hasn't spread.

Oh man I know this feeling. My dad has stomach cancer right now. They went to take it out 2 months ago and apparently it was more aggressive than they thought, so they bypassed his stomach and put him on chemo for the past month. Getting a scan tomorrow, and then probably 6 more weeks of chemo and radiation and hopefully it'll be good to go out. Shit is the most nervewracking thing I've ever experienced day in and day out.
Was also alerted today that my car is due for a good explosion soon unless I drop a grand into it. So off to looking for a new car now.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. My mom is keeping a pretty level mind about it, but that is just who she is. I guess we will find out more once they get in there and get it out.
Hope they get it all out. Cancer is no joke, my wife's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago, went dormant (or whatever the technically term is) or was just fine with regular chemo treatments and than like 6 years later spread to her brain quickly and before they could catch it. She took are sharp decline, she was fine in December of 2007 and by the end of March 2008 lost her fight.
