plus. at the end of a module installs, they fucking sit NEXT to each other. no spaces from weird manufacturer measurements.
Yeah this is the big plus of sliding nuts. Modules not quite lining up does frustrate me
I'm not saying I hate them. They're just a little annoying. The worst thing I have with them is the mother 32 because it's 4 holes in a row. With normal modules with just 4 holes in the corners I would have less of an issue I think haha.
I could absolutely roll with it if the case I really wanted had sliding nuts. But I've only ever bought cases that have tapped holes and I'm pretty happy with it.

behndy wrote:there's the Parameter Locks, that let you change different.... parameters... per step. but then the Trig Locks you can grab from the Sound Pool and assign different sounds per step.
it works differently on different Elektron boxes, like on the Cycles you can do that with saved sounds/presets, so you could have one track doing kick, snare and hats, as long as none hit the same time.
so make a bunch of vaguely related hits either in the box, or in something like Live, drop them in to an Elektron that does samples, load them in the Sound Pool for that project, get jiggly with it.
again, noooot talking shits. i have ALL the Loose Butt Tangle Steps for the AFX Statton Island.
After all this time, there's still shit I don't know about the Digitakt

Ah yeah you should experiment with this!!! Parameter locks are amazing and extremely easy to set up. You can set.... pretty much anything? on a parameter lock per trig.
You can also modulate sample choice on a digitakt using the LFO which can hit some fun glitch vibes / unexpected variations.

Damn it behndy! I just ordered an AFX Station. I started looking for a used Bass Station II, but the price came down a bit on the AFX (they were originally listed at $649 I'm Canada, but they're down to $599 now) and I have a long standing discount code at Moog Audio. I personally like the looks of the AFX Station much more anyways. Still, I need someone to blame, so I'm blaming behndy.

or the Erica 3hp Polivoks filter. That looks interesting.

I'm not sure why you're intent on hating good things man

Okay damn, this is pushing me to impulse buy since they're like only a mile away from me

I also never paid mind to the OG bass station because aesthetically boring but this AFX all black version
Also, hi I've been quiet because I have been focusing on recording demos with my bandmate and jamming with buds in my basement, but I have added a Erica Synths Sample Drum and Warm Star Fragments (ty vidret) to my rack in the past month, and on top of reorganizing the rack to fit those in I am finally loving my eurorack again.
