Are you guys putting RHCP and QoTSA in the same category as Linkin Park?

Taxonomy of ILF cool in diminishing order:
QotSA
RHCP
LINKIN PARK

Debatable?

But like, RHCP and QotSA both consist of actual really talented musicians with universally good tunes. LP, not so much.

Mostly agreed, but: can you defend the presence of Anthony Kiedis?

She bop pop! a dee bob pop!

Also there are some objectively terrible RHCP songs. Even the blandest Queens songs are still sort of interesting.

Anthony Kiedis is a walking sex machine. I LIKE DIRT I LIKE DIRT
But yeah, they've made some not-so-good songs. But a lot of good ones too.

Also, dare I say it..not the biggest QotSA fan.

Guy at work was watching live RHCP yesterday on youtube while repairing some shit.

Kiedis had this stupid mohawk. I just felt like he was a poser but I couldn't tell you why.

I don't know, I just think it's a result of druggie funk surfer turned Hollywood guy. He seems real in interviews.

Kiedis is a paedophile. He even admits to it non-challantly in his book as though hooking up with a 14 year old girl is some perfectly natural and deeply spiritual part of being a total guru.
Fuck that guy.

Read Scar Tissue. It occurs sometime before Nlood Sugar Sex Magick blows up.
Its pprobably one of the most disgusting things even put to print.
Im still baffled as to why he chose to share it, let alone how it made it past the editor and his management.

John Frusciante is for real though. One of my favorite musicians. His newest stuff is bonkers: Enclosure, PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone, Letur Lefr, the stuff he's done with Venetian Snares/The Mars Volta...he's into modular, hip-hop, Zappa...

Maybe it's an age thing, but I never saw LP as anything more that pop-nu metal...a horrible half-stepping attempt at music. I guess if I was younger I may have gotten into it...but this are some of the reasons I'm happy I'm old.

Also...referring to the comment on lemons (on page 2)...I'm pretty weird, but I love raw lemons with a dash of salt. I eat that shit like oranges. It's genetic flavour preference I'm sure, cause I got it from my mum and both my kids love lemons too.
