Nyet.
What is this?
For a brief moment it looked like there was another Hideo Kojima trick and Silent Hills was coming back which was kinda fun reading the conspiracies, until some people dug deeper and it was clear it was just some small time developer who'd opened a Pandora's Box with a misguided tweet... and Konami had just been teasing a Silent Hill skateboard on their new merch store... the fun had already turned to creepiness before that though. I hate people.
I've been playing Deathloop lately. I really like the concept, but overall the "story" is pretty weak and the gameplay gets a bit repetitive. It's really fun, but the whole Dead Souls-esque invasions get a bit tedious. Literally every single time you load into a new level you immediately get invaded, which is really annoying when you frequently have to do several consecutive tasks in different levels and the invasions can completely ruin any progress you've been making. Clearly there's a lot more people playing as invaders than there are people playing the solo game and the actual matchmaking is kind of shit
You can kind of turn them off. The invasions always happen, but you can change them to be friend-only players (I haven't tried this and I'm not sure what would happen if I selected it as I don't have any friends playing on my Steam account) or NPCs. I switch it to NPC every once in awhile when I get really annoyed of the constant onslaught of people attacking me. I've found the best solution for most invasions is just ambush or full on rush people with a shotgun
proooooobably late to the party, but Slay The Spire is SUPER fun. have had it for a hinute, looks so much my jam, put off playing it till last night, wanted to have a fresh game or two (have Eastward untouched right now as well) for a flight i'm on today with my grrL. it's her birthday today, we're going to Cabo for 5ish days.
annnnnd i sleep about a third what she does. so it is GOOD to have something super enjoyable for travel and Only Human Awake In Bed times.
StS is about the quintessential JUST ONE MORE RUN game so far.

I've been playing through the Uncharted series. I'm currently about 75% done the second one. I never played the Uncharted games in the past, but I'm enjoying them so far even if some of the controls and camera angles are a bit janky in the first couple games so far. Definitely excited to see what the last two games have in store.
Also, getting really tired of the PS5 being completely unobtainable. My PS4 is slowly dying. I get a really annoying triple beep fairly frequently, as well as the disc drive frequently trying to eject discs that aren't there. I need to open it up and clean it out to see if that fixes the issues, but I'd rather just buy a PS5 already.
I cut my game playing off cold turkey almost two years ago and I have been reluctant other than a few instances of Path of Exile and Diablo 2, to get into anything.
Elden Ring may change that, its like a Bloodborn 2 but not so spoopy goth BS - REALLY love the character designs, and looking forward to see what this game can do.

Some of my favourite games I've played recently have been metroidvanias, but I've never played a Metroid game. I guess I'm going to have to check out Metroid Dread
Super Metriod still holds up really well. I've been playing through it on my retro handheld emulation thingy. God, I love this device.
Currently making my way through Chrono Trigger and MGS on the same device.
I'm looking forward to the next generation of retro handhelds, as these still struggle a bit with certain N64 and Dreamcast emulations. PSX runs perfectly though, but it would be nice to play some PS2 as well.
I thought that was a handheld Wii conversion kit at first till I read the rest of your post. I've been meaning to setup the Dev Kit app on my Xbox Series S to starting doing some emulation I can't do on my Mac or don't have the console for. I have a 3DS, GBA, Switch, Series S, and Gamecube but there's some games not on any of those I still like to play.
