I've always wanted to play drums, but not being able to fuzz out does put me off it.
Congratulations.

Listen to the microphones. Fuzzed drums, although its just mic clipping methinks.

Playing drums, rather than no fuzz/fuzz, you have closed/open high hats.
Needless to say, I play open most of the time.
All I have for bass fuzz is a Russian muff right now...hmmmm...

Clipping or a res filter.
Can't do that live, though.
Russian is a great place to start.

Wooly mammoth fuzz would be a good one to get. That kicks arse on guitar and bass.

And I wouldn't mind a Russian muff. Would probably go the black Russian though. The greens are too expensive.

I do know a guy with a green Russian.

Not true.
First you put the drummer in an isolation chamber
Then you mic it up
Then you send the mic signal to a dimed stack
Then tears of joy

I think the only difference is 2 resistors. So you can turn a black spec into a green spec in about 10 minutes for less than a dollar.
