I've always wanted to play drums, but not being able to fuzz out does put me off it.

Playing drums, rather than no fuzz/fuzz, you have closed/open high hats.

Needless to say, I play open most of the time.

Russian is a great place to start.

Wooly mammoth fuzz would be a good one to get. That kicks arse on guitar and bass.

And I wouldn't mind a Russian muff. Would probably go the black Russian though. The greens are too expensive.

Then you mic it up
Then you send the mic signal to a dimed stack

I think the only difference is 2 resistors. So you can turn a black spec into a green spec in about 10 minutes for less than a dollar.
