Founder's Breakfast Stout is the stuff for me. You could try a milk stout for something a little different (Left Hand's is exemplary.)

Yes! Both of these! I haven't tried the Otter Creek, but BigChief's word is bond in all matters beeriffic, so get some of that as well!

Can you get Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout? Or Williams Bro.s Midnight Sun Scottish Porter? They're both tasty.

+1 for Old Rasputin. One of my favorites. Obsidian stout and Black Butte porter from Deschutes are both good too, and I really like Anchor's porter.

I'll head in to my local liquor store this week and search the place for these recommendations, thanks dudes! I've got a few different stouts and a porter in my fridge right now:

Tallgrass Brewing Buffalo Sweat (Oatmeal Cream Stout)- I've had two pints of it, pretty damn tasty.
Stone Brewing Smoked Porter: It was pretty cheap and looked alright, have not opened it yet.
Stone Brewing Belgo Anise RIS: Sounds interesting, doubt it'll be a faVorite of mine but I Can't wait to try it

So I had the Stone Brewing Belgo Anise Imperial Russian Stout a few nights ago and it was surprisingly so good, I loved it. Got an Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Russian yesterday and am excited to break that out. Couldn't find any of the suggestions but I was in a hurry, I'll have to ask an employee next time.

So went to the bar for happy hour and got drunk before work which was definitely worth it. I had:
- Young's Double Chocolate Stout, weird mouthfeel and initial taste but the aftertaste was wonderful
- Great Lakes Christmas Ale, pretty good I enjoyed the spices that they used also had a solid alcohol content.
- Stone Double Bastard, damn tasty and got me quite drunk being 11% abv, awesome beer.

Urgh... been battling a monster cold for the last two weeks, which has made beer drinking next to impossible. I can't taste shit, and I'm so high on cold meds that a single beer gets me buzzed in a bad way. COLD BE GONE SO I CAN HAZ TASTY BREWS OVER CHRIMMAS!

On a related tangent, has anyone looked into getting some Westvleteren 12, since they've opened up US orders? I'm assuming it all got snapped up immediately, but figured I'd ask...

Get better man! Yeah, unfortunately Westie sold out of every location in like 10 minutes. It was ridonkulous. 85 bucks for a six-pack, and people were lined up around blocks.

Taking a beer brewing class with my girlfriend - and the cost of the class includes a take home beer kit.

:thumb:

Homebrewing is so awesome. The only downside is the agonizing wait while the beer is fermenting. I have to force myself not to just stand there and watch the bubbles come out of the airlock
