Probably somewhere between 20-70 weeks.

That's soime wriggle room right there.
I've never palyed one, so I'd be kinda nervous to lay out that amount of cash in case I hated it. I'm in the UK too, so not only is it impossible to find one to play, I'm not sure if it'll go with my thatched roof.
My thinking is that if I put a deposit down on an expensive guitar that I know I can't have for x weeks, then it'll be incentive to not soend money on other gear, that I clearly don't need.

I figured that same incentive would work for me. Then my 15-25 week wait stretched out to over a year with incentive steadily fading. At least the bulk of the wait is over now, should be well worth it in the end.

What music are you planning on using it for? Any live use?
My current project is a mix of post-rock, drone, noise, doom, ambient and that sort of thing. Lots of sound-scapey stuff that eventually (sometimes) leads to big riffs. We lost our drummer recently but we're still thinking of playing live since it actually still works quite well without drums. We're just starting overdubs on a record so I'll put it to use there. I'm trying to work on a solo, home recording project that is a more straight forward riff-filled psych-doom thing like YOB. I'm also excited to experiment with the stereo aspects of splitting the necks and making good use of my looper pedals.
I'm going to try and see if my little mic attachment will work with video on my iphone so I can do a little demo.

Congrats on the awesome guitar! I"ve sure been wondering what it was gonna be like and it's amazing, what a unique instrument. Love to hear it!
