So far the biggest surprise about it is it sounds like a mustang for the most part... God, this thing slays through fuzzes.

Custom silver pickguard made by Pickguardian
The controls for the bass are a stacked volume/tone and a 5-position rotary switch which lest you select: Series humbucking, north coil, parallel humbucking, south coil and series out of phase.
Yes I know about the screws, fuck off....

That's another beauty!

One down, 4 more to go?

After seeing Mudfuzz'z new creation

could not agree more. Awesome project!
There's always a handful of used Squier Bronco's on CL when I don't have the money for one. Now that I'm looking for a shortscale bass to tune to BEAD, nada.

It isn't a bad mod, you only lose about a square inch or actual wood, I guess if one didn't want a super fly pickguard a tron ring "might" cover up the stang holes

But as you can see fly guard is fly and it really makes the whole thing pop

... 6
V bass, Ric, Hi-flyer, Jazzmaster thingy, Ultimate death rock Vampireriffic SG, Fly V guitar with single coils... Also have parts for a SDGR 885 [orange body, silver neck] just need a bridge and a tuner...

CANNOT WAIT to see the SG with a beast headstock... What are you throwing in there for pickups?
@ the BEAD Bronco, a .120 or .130 should tune to B, then a shortscale set that matches well with the big'un. That's how I string and tune my grind guitar (BEADG, 5 strings).

It's going to be one Dynasonic that Elwood gave me

@ the bridge. I'm also giving bigsby thoughts, I also have a old Vox Bigsby style trem that just needs a spring and a arm that I am trying to decide if it is worth it vs just getting a real bigsby. I drew up a PG shape based on the SG junior PG that will cover up the neck pickup hole and the control cavity which is really gothy/evil looking.

Ah yes "that" "guitar" that thing is cool as fuck. Looks like you might really have something there, IMOP SS basses work better for chords for some reason so the BEAD SS might really be fun.

That SG sounds better every time you add details. Where is that in line?

I tried the Bronco in one store, and it was easier to chord on than my epiphone LP bass. Time to sell the Epi and get a Squier for bass of doom. Want to try the jag short scale bass before I get a Bronco. It's more I don't want to mod the Squier Tele I got to a Tele VI.

Mmmm timeline depends... I'm thinking somewhere between the V bass and the ric as the ric will still cost a lot to get it done [pickups, tuners... ric-o-sound prewired electronics.. ect] where with the SG all I need it tuners a guard and a tailpiece [maybe]. You know I bet it would be rather easy to turn a Bronco, Jag SS, Mustang into a VI.. Two more tuners a bridge and a nut and you're there...
