here's mine in the state it has been for 2 months...
(not that I am participating in the race)
the cutting job looks way messier than you guys's but I guess it will do.
hope I will find some time some day to work on it again

no it doesn't I checked too and there is only ground that has continuity to the pads.
I assume the power is only connected to that pad when power is applied. It should be safe connecting power to that 5v pad. Either some active protection scheme or something to do with that VBUSEND pad, you might have a check the axo forums about that. I have seen people separating the boards there so it has probably been brought up.

i'm gunna say that the power jack is not connected to the 5v pad because u are supposed to feed the power jack like 7-12 volts aren't you....?
so likely the power jack is connected to a 5v regulator or something..

right! hadn't checked the data yet (its sparse ...). just assumed it was powered from 5v ...
