HaHA, in response to the Huffington Post incident.

A question about Soundcloud:

what the hell?...I try to use it and upload a track and get spammed withing 2 minutes. 24 likes from bot accounts and I look at everyone elses and nothing...you all just fighting them as they come? Am I doing something wrong? Should I just delete it? Don't really have anything anyway (was mostly having it around to follow you all...).

So is it just tops out of bad choices? Secrets to it? What the hell?

It also doesn't let me take my name off...at I hate that...

Soundcloud is a horrible platform filled with spam, etc. It's also the only audio platform with integration in as many different places. Notoriously full of spam. Full of bad features like auto playing other people's tracks after your own. It's also financially in the gutter and going downhill. About to be sued by pretty much all the major labels. So expect a sale, bankruptcy, or full shutdown in the future.

Sadly, I have yet to find a decent alternative.

I don't get the spam at all but the other crap yes, I agree. It's funny that the loudest complainers I know that complain about it going down hill because of the copyright thing are all the people that only us it to make play lists of other peoples music and don't post any actual original content...

I've gotten some spam, but it seems like it gets deleted. Bandcamp is great.

I just posted a track and got spammed like crazy...and I do not like a thing about it so far. I think I am just going to delete. Thanks DRod and Mudfuzzfor confirming what I thought...

Guys, I've really lost touch with this place and I fucking miss it. In the approx. 3 years absence I've managed to finish my undergrad and I'm now starting my master's in contaminant hydrogeology and geophysics...another 2 years of my life. Is it worth it? I hope so. Miss y'all <3

A community like this is mega-great, but it is kind of nice to imagine having enough cool shit going on that I don't have for social media.

EDIT: Somehow bubbles got into my ice so now they are randomly squeaking and farting out bubbles in my drink.
