Thanks dude!

I paid this off almost a year ago like a dumbass thinking that would speed things up lol. You're Orange purchase is helping me pay for a full restoration on my Ampeg V2 though. Gonna look and function like brand new now. It runs and sounds so good I decided to splurge. New tolex, corners, handle, brushed and re-screen printed control plate, new grill and baffle, new badge, modded and biased to run on KT88s, cap job, gut check, the works. :thumb:

Yeah, wait is crazy! Sent down payment in Oct 2012 with 15-25 week quote and things stretched out a bit.

sometimes it's worth it though. kinda like an old slogan for my fam's collision & automotive biz we had printed on giveaways... "cheap pens, expensive bodywork. you get what you pay for."

Looking good. I love hollows and semi-hollows but I've always had problems with them at high volume. When the volume is just right and the body resonates like it's alive unfortunately all of mine have turned and bitten me.

I've had an old 335 and more recent 339 and yeah, those mofos loved to feedback at high volume. Then I had a Maton BB1200 and it would most def come alive, air literally breathing in/out of f-holes at high volume yet no feedback issues. Kevin insists that Chessies are similar when it comes to good feedback control. After all, the aluminum body EGCs are all hollow, the Chessie just happens to sport f-holes too. Here's hoping it doesn't go crazy with the feedback...

:snax:

It'd be interesting to see what ol' Kev could do with a ported bodied guitar.

The feedback is not bad at all for what it is. Definitely less of a issue than with other arch tops I've had over the years. I don't really notice it unless I'm running really high gain with out a gate and am staring at my amp but that's kinda true for most guitars.
