always a huge sense of relief in my experience, even when making sure not to take it for granted too much.

yeah man, I always forget that almost everything gets better if you give it some time, but it's hard to be patient when you're struggling.

super glad to hear things are getting better, Chet
i recently decided to go back to university and submitted my application, so if all goes well i will be pissing off to Perth for 3 years to hang out with Twangasaurus and get myself a bachelors' degree and language proficiency certification, which makes thinking about my future much less crippling and stressful than it has been the past 3 years.
also just booked flights to do some more solitary backpacking in Japan several weeks from now and i get to see my absolute favourite-est band play at a math rock festival and catch up with some friends which i am beyond fucking stoked about.

I just got out of my depressed, misanthropic funk.
Went from obsessing over and getting frustrated with the way other people were acting to saying "Hey, what will make the situation better that I actually have control over?"

I know, right? I've actually won a few pedals before outside of Instagram, which just encourages me a bit too much to enter these things. Sometimes it's just luck, sometimes just decent odds because there aren't so many entries in these social media contests where you have to spam people to enter.
(If anyone wants to contest spam me on IG, go nuts. I'm bearsgonefission there.)

Uh oh. You're not going to join a band with a mandolinist and banjo player now, are you?
Crap, we lost another one.
