well, i got the pickup thing sorted out. i found a pair of the original Kent PUs:

at 4.8kΩ with coils almost as big as a P90 they should honk pretty good.
and for the bridge, a honkin' Tiesco/Sekova that weighs in at a hefty 9.7kΩ, but with a narrower coil/field that hopefully will get some of the Tri-Sonic vibe.

In this song I'm writing/recording, I've written a riff that I completely love but I CANNOT play it. yaaaaaay.

I do that all the time, like I can play it once when I come up with it but then with the band i just perpetually fuck it up every time..
Keep at it, i'm sure you'll get there. Just don't end up like this:

Hahahahaha yeah I'm not really mad or anything, just disappointed. I think I'm gonna make it a synth line for now, practice while recording the rest of the song and put it in as guitar when I can play it.

yes. i've been so traumatized in the past that i was utterly unable to function, by divorce in one case and by loss of my job. i literally couldn't do anything for MONTHS after i was laid off in 2010 other than sleep, smoke pot, and stare at the floor. when the divorce in 1995 went down i checked myself into a mental ward until my insurance ran out in two weeks. several people thought i should do the same after my ex left in 2011. if you think you're that far into teh crazeez, talk to a counselor immediately so you can understand what's going on.

Ongoing thing, lashed out and burst in to tears last week, got angry about stuff with friends they hadn't even done and I can't even remember why, just black out and now I can't even face opening the mail, nearly had a panic attack just letting my friend in for a cigarette after she finished work and can't sleep for more than 3 hours but don't feel tired.
Just no energy and I can't face anything, I accidentally made a one letter mistake on an important online payment form yesterday and nearly cried when I found out today as it means something else I have to sort out.
Not that I don't have the sense but I don't want to talk to anyone in person, holeing my self up for as long as I can, trying to design effects as much as I can to distract my brain thinking of anything else.

They edited the article, now it reads "chipped tooth" instead of "chipped death".

Either I misplaced my soldering station, or it was stolen from my car. I feel like a big ol' dummy.
