Legally, they are all supposed to charge sales tax...I'm not sure how some get away without. I guess they don't report their sales into those states or something? There was an online pedal shop that opened in NY (I'm in NY too) and I went to price out something that was new and reached out to the store to see if they had a storefront so I could check out the pedal to see if I really wanted to buy it. They told me they had no storefront. I promptly asked them what's the win to buy from them then when I can buy direct and/or from other stores and not pay sales tax. They told me the other stores were breaking the law, but eventually that store made a post on social media that they weren't charging sales tax any more so that they could compete. As a consumer, if you can't give me the best price...you have to offer me something to get my business and these stores that don't give the best price or charge taxes or don't offer free shipping, I don't see how they can stay in business.

I have one in a very similar, quite pristine condition and the original price tag was 845 Deutsche Mark (keeping inflation in mind, this is like around 600 EUR today!). This thing is pure funk! Lots of useful and a few uncommon sounds inside that silver box. Really awesome in combination with an expression pedal.

12% price drop! $200 is a really, really good price for this unit in this condition.

well, it might be a reach, but i guess you could speculate that somehow supporting the one in your city contributes positively to your local [micro]economy:

[i honestly don't]

Yes, I have one. If I had time to make demo recordings, this one was high up on my to-do list.

sounds to me more like a pedal geek in my local thinking they can translate their old weed selling business model of buying in bulk at discount and selling at mkt pries into a way to feed their habit for free. Buying from a storefront in my hometown it supporting my micro economy (which I 100% do) but an online internet only shop that happens to reside in my state is a bit of a stretch...but I appreciate the reach

I know there are various places on ILF to file shit like this, but maybe there is/should be a "the ones that got away" thread?
