I don't know how it would work with the new pricing structure, but if the neck and everything is already 'made', I wonder if it would be possible (and, if possible, if it would end up being ridiculously expensive) to pick that one up, ship it back to EGC, and have them replace the body with literally anything else.
1200 + like 50 to ship it to them? + like 50 to ship it to you? + ???? for the work...

The neck just bolts on, any luthier could do it for you really. It wouldn't be too hard make a body yourself.
At that price, it's probably pretty close to what EGC would charge for a neck these days (last time I saw an estimate it was like 800-900?).
I'm not totally convinced about bolting on a metal neck though. Half the appeal for me is the neck-through aspect.

Yeah, the neck-through design makes all the difference I'm thinking.

I nearly would too. Fuck I think I could stand it if I just covered the body in black duct tape to hide that awful fucking handle. Would it cost a bomb to get somebody to fit a new wooden body on it?

I kind of don't want to ask again to see if mine is ready.
Without being melodramatic, I cannot handle another "it's coming" response.

Geez Andrew, that blows! Feels like you've been waiting longer than anybody here. When did you order again?

Wow, that's pretty bad. I think they really needed to change things up. Two years is insane. I've been waiting for Toneczar pedals for three years now and I've lost interest. I've literally lost interest and will probably not bother with any of them apart from the fuzz. That's why you shouldn't have wait lists beyond a few months. Build in batches instead or just hire some help for fucks sake.

I like that a lot. I personally think the shape suits the EGC design aesthetic. But yeah, anodized neck all the way.

Agreed. Anodized or brushed is the way to go.
