I just ordered some curry. :3

Also I'm filling in as house drums for an open mic later tonight. I'd kinda like to make that a regular thing. I've been deliberately improving on drums lately and would like to get put and play with different people as well.

Curry good.
I might make butter chicken tonight.

Yeah I wanna get back into playing in a band situation again. I've got all these rad fuzz pedals to blow this loud amp up with now, so it seems appropriate.

I just had open heart surgery to repair an unknown birth defect. I had planned on doing this in oregon, where they were going to replace the valve with an artificial one, and I'd have to live on blood thinners for the rest of my life. I looked for other opinions and found the Cleveland Clinic is the "best." A friend got me a referral to Dr Roselli who is one of 80 people who could possibly repair my valve, which he did. Totally amazing. Feel like I've been hit by a truck, but getting better all the time! I have a whole lot to be happy and grateful for.

Thanks man! It's crazy, Best possible out come.
On the flip side, it often goes undetected, and when that happens you just drop dead.

I never had any real symptoms, but my wife wanted something else checked out and this came up. Kind of insane to going from running 20 miles a week to "you could drop dead if you don't address this real soon."

Funny how the human body works out. I can imagine you went to get like a CT scan or something and they were just like "Oh yea, heart might explode, should check that out, yada yada yada."

Pretty much. Essentially I had a not-fully-developed aortic valve, which was causing strain on the Aortic Root and Ascending Aorta. Essentially you have no time once an Aorta ruptures. Once my surgeon got to work inside me, he said the size of the root [that he reconstructed with a dacron graft] was even bigger than imaging had revealed.

Say what you will about Paypal, but they're really good about getting you a refund when you're dealing with shitty eBay sellers.

Played a pretty terrible, unrehersed show last night but people still thought it was cool. Here's to dodging a bullet! :thumb:

Pretty much this. Also, UC hosted a party last night with friendly people, which was great fun. Seems like I've gone from hardly ever socializing while living in the woods, to actually having a schedule-ish thing going on after moving back to Oslo. I know we like to romanticize the strange loner thing around here, but it does feel good meeting new people and doing stuff.

Here's to stuff! :!!!:
