Definitely a good buy. Be forwarned, though, I have both the original versions and the center positive power + reverse jacks + regular need to track down dodgy solder joints, switches wired backwards, etc, make them pretty, uh, hands-on as far as pedal usage goes. They sound cool as hell, though, not much out there can do the weird sweeping meltdown fuzz of the Chaos nor can any ostensible octave fuzzes I know of pull off the steely, almost clean octave up of the Helium with the drive down.

yar - love those ended up selling off my OGs a while back and still miss them. i feel like the Malekko version of the Helium is fairly close, but i definitely noticed differences between my individual exemplars of the two different versions of the Chaos. Even so, my Malekko remains one of my favorite things

I have an older version of the H4N, and it's a fun little unit. I like that there are on-board effects; they can make field recordings pretty fun. Birds chirping with a reverse effect? Yes please!
