Yea, twas a big surprise. It's easy to feel cursed as an Angel fan so it was a good day. Eppler has done great since Dipoto ditched em and he was hired on. Finding dudes like Bridwell, Parker, Ramirez, and Petit while also picking up Otani, Upton, and some Braves prospects is pretty dn good (even if a few of his experiments haven't worked out like Espinoza). Pretty weird and a good break from the Reagans and Dipoto era.
Didn't know there was another Angel fan here (or I forgot). Plus, cheers on the ikaruga icon. I love me some shooters...haven't played a video game in a while but picked up that battle garegga box set at some point. As far as Treasure, love me some gunstar heroes.
Pretty silly of Dipoto to bring in Gordon to play CF.

r/baseball and r/angelsbaseball going nuts over all the Angels acquisitions. It'll be nice if we don't have to hear about wasting Trout's prime next year.

I've only really gotten into baseball in the last few years, courtesy of my Royals fan wife. I wanted someone to root for, Utah doesn't have MLB, but we do have the Angels' AAA affiliate (Bees), so I threw my hat in the ring with the Halos.
Yeah, shmups are great. As I've gotten older, my love for them and run 'n' gun has gone up. They don't waste my time, they're typically inexpensive, and I never win so I can keep playing the same ones indefinitely.

Stanton to Yankees wins "The Most Cliche Event of 2017" award.
Wank off, Yankee bastards.

Baseball BASEBALL baseball BASEBALL spring training is here to stay until it goes away.
Apparently T-Mobile is doing the free MLB.tv thing again on March 27th. We don't have T-Mobile, but thankfully my mom does.

Did you see the caught stealing that ended that Royals Angels game by Rene Rivera the other day? It was crazy...under 1.6 second for transfer, throw, and tag.
Oh, yea, Ohtani and Price tonight! Excited. Destroy the Sox.
Ohtani and the Angels have been fun!
Mets and Phils surprising. Yankees at 500...it's been a fun season despite all the snow outs.

Mets/Angels world series? That'd be fun.
Nolan Ryan should throw out the first pitch.

I hope the next few days change that.
Man, that playoff series with Vlad knocking them out was a highlight.
I even had a good natured back and forth with Sox fans for the first time without them getting oddly hateful at game 1 of that series. The red Sox always beat up on the Angels (kinda like how the Angels had the Yankees number until that year).
The way red Sox fan generally act at Angels stadium:
One old man, like right after Adenhart died was calling for Beckett to do serious damage with faseballs to the head of abreu...and "Adenhart deserved to die".
It's just a game, calm down. I like a good rivalry, but damn.

Notes:
-Angels always choke against Boston (which is why that playoff series was great)
-Tonight sucks haha.
-The Angels were over achieving and have taxed their bullpen...not an excuse but when using fringy player like Bard or Parker, the book can get written quickly
-Advanced scouting works...Boston isnt this good (strictly talent), nor are the Angels this bad (it's been a big criticism of mine of the org for a long time...the old saying is that TBA always beats the Angels) the offices are the difference...Angels are starting from scratch after the dipoto era...like Texas I thought always played better than their talent...coaching and scouting
-Angels were a 2nd wild card in my book and still are
-Even Kershaw has bad games.
-I wouldn't even bother about an April game like this....but it's Boston, so it worse...mostly because of fans
Still a long season.
Anyway, go Angels!

I didn't watch either of those games, but, OUCH, Red Sox are hot.
Can they make it a clean sweep?
Yes, it's extremely early in the season.

Sox off to the best start in the MLB since 1987, pretty impressive. Nothing lasts, but sheesh this is crazy to watch.
On to the A's!
