Would've been "funnier" if you'd've gotten divorced because of it and then sued Sweetwater. :idk:
Edited my post. Wife confirmed that sales agent never identified herself from the company, just her name. We have a good relationship, trusting, etc...Good thing. I know some people would go off the deep end at just the thought...

I didn't know before ordering my stereo field that Landscape was super invested in the "We Must #Resist Evil White Supremacist Nazi Drumpf" meme. I suppose it's just the current climate, but that doesn't make it less annoying.

That's what I did and they haven't called in years. Every now and then I just get an email from my guy checking in. Some I ignore and don't respond, and he doesn't follow up. Sometimes I respond, negotiate a deal, and order something via email without ever having to speak on the phone or order via the website. Life's not that hard to figure out. :thumb:

Can you elaborate on the negotiating? Are you able to haggle with them on prices?

Sweetwater agents are authorized to do price-matching, but it's certainly not something they advertise. I had an item matched this week actually. I've been told by someone at Sweetwater (a non-salesperson) that their agents are encouraged to act at their own discretion. So while they may not publicly advertise fire sales like other shops, they are privately willing to work with customers. As far as outright haggling, I've never needed to negotiate anything down, just because I always know where stuff is on sale. So I just ask for a match, if I need it.

---I don't think they'll do partial refunds on prior orders, if you find a better deal later, but then again I've never needed to ask for this. (MF, for example will do account credit if you find a better deal, but their customer service team is poorly-trained and often botches this. getting a credit on your account could take 3-5 calls IME.)

Yeah and I have asked them to beat prices from other websites too, and they will come in a bit lower. Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't.

"Muscian's Friend has this for $XXX.XX, can you beat that price"?
"What's the best price you can do on this item"?

Stuff like that. It doesn't hurt to ask. The worst thing that will happen is they won't go down in price.

Same thing with Musician's Friend. I think they will pretty much always give you a 10% discount on items over $99 if you ask and it is not a brand they are not allowed to discount. I remember when I had I bought my sub 37. I had a 15% off coupon. I called them up and negotiated a 20% off deal, and that was a pre-order for a super hot item that would undoubtedly sell no matter what.

And one time, when I bought my first Pigtronix Infinity looper at MF, I got them to honor a 20% coupon even though they don't do discounts on Pigtronix stuff. They wound up doing some back office trickery, like take money out of petty cash or whatever, to make the deal.

But, I have a silver tongue, so don't expect to preform at my level.

Well, there're at least two sides to that coin. One is that people use music to expand their awareness of politics. Another is that they use it to shelter themselves from it. Very dependent on the music itself. It's a highly personal thing either way.
