Congrats w y'all's academic successes!
Sunday I bought a tenor saxophone after wanting one since I was 10 years old. I played alto for several years and played my absolute dream-horn, the bari sax, for the last two years I was in HS band, but this is my first time ever owning or playing a tenor sax. I am absolutely in love with it. It's an old horn and has been sitting in a closet for 10 years, but I intend to take it to a shop and have them get it cleaned up and playing nicely again. The only bad news is it'll cost me another $200-400 depending on how much work it takes, but what're you gonna do
Also as a bonus it sounds KILLER through pedals:

BROOOOOOO SAAAAME. Except I want to do like 30 more. Get to my best healthy weight. The process is tough though. Because the loss is slow and I don't really see it? Like I thought I had plateaued for a while but I tried on cloth I had bought back in April and they felt weeeeirdly large. Even stuff I bought like in June. I've lost 2 jeans sizes in maybe a year, 3 since I've started this process. Shirts are the same, 2 sizes down and I've switched to a more adjusted cut. Dressy jackets I bought back in April feel like I should have gone with a size less. I couldn't button them when I bought them and now I can and I kinda float in those.
It's so weird because I feel awesome when I realize this by putting old clothing on, but when I look in the mirror I still see the same fat D'arcy?
By the way Vidret is the best, he's been giving some help on the exercise front for bigger progress and ways of complementing cycling and stuff. Remember when I gave you a kiss on the cheek in Oslo because you had bought pineapple juice and it was a very pleasant surprise because it's my favorite juice? I'd give you ten of those right now

oof. i FEEL you. it's only in the last month or so that i've felt like i'm any smaller. i'm a bit tall, 6'3" or so, so i'm always going to weigh a lot. but i was up to 270. when i finally felt like i was making progress was when i realized i can wear XL shirts and not be tight now where XXL barely fit before.
but it feels soooo much better. got winded after like 2 minutes of playing basketball before. now i run 20 minute pickup games for about 3 hours at least twice a week. i was starting to feel OLD. lol. and i thought it was being 40. not.... being 40 or more lbs overweight.
numbers are weird too. i've already put on a bit of muscle again, and i'd like to drop some more chub and add a bit more useful meat. so i'm not super worried about what weight i am.
JUST WANT TO LOOK GOOD NEKID AND BE ABLE TO DO SHIZZ I WANT TO DO.
heh. also, The GrrL LOVES beaches. so. like. every vacation is around places with fun water sand spots. NEED TO LOOK BETTER WITH SHIRT OFF.
we're seeing what's cheapest, but might do Bahamas for NYE this year? woot?

I finally, being a 28 year old filthy American pig, learned how to use a standard transmission in like two hours. It's awesome! Intimidating at first but there's nothin' to it.
