If you're interested in minimalism you can always try removing some of those things from your everyday life for a bit and seeing how it affects you. Then if you find you really don't need/miss them, you can figure out what's to go. You can always prioritize things to get rid of in stages by frequency of use. Reducing redundancies in every day use and specialty items is a good moderate step there too. If you have 20 pairs of socks, never wear more than 10 pairs in a week and do laundry every week, if you 4 spatulas and almost never use 2 of them, if you only wear a suit twice a year but have 8 suits, if you like movie but have every box set version of it and only watch one, that sort of thing. A lot of people collect things, but never use, display or flip them, which can make a lot of clutter.
This is more or less the approach I was thinking of taking. I'm not really interested in minimalism per se (I am however interested in baiting dos), it's just that I'm still relatively young and have a bunch of shit still that was cool when I moved out at 17, but not so much anymore. I think I need some drastic change in my life, and saying byebye to old stuff might be part of that. I get a couple of channels, but stream all music as it is and torrent tv shows cause I don't live in the US.

I think that's just a normal adult life thing. At some point you look at all the furniture and items that you've been gifted, handed down or bought separately and want to purge and kind of reset to a new cohesive things that suits your own contemporary tastes.

Sidebar Corey moved across the country to buy a bigger house I'm not sure he's a bastion of minimalism

Sorry if I can't be bothered to give a question like "minimalism, yes or no" more than a lazily C&P'd link.

That's not why I moved. My house now is the same size as my old house, just with a basement and a bigger yard. We moved because my wife was pregnant with our second kid, the murder rate in our town was insanely high (I saw 2 murders and heard 3 more at work in 2016) , the schools were all rated 1/10 and cost of living and home values were going way up and I was selling music gear and tools every month for 2 years to pay bills. I make about 3/4 or less of what I did in California, but I can pay all my bills now (barely), because I don't have a mortgage and all the schools in our district are rated 9 or 10/10. We got rid of about 50-60% of our possessions before we moved. For 3 months when we got here, we had 3 plates, 3 glasses, some cutlery, pots and pans, a laptop, a queen sized mattress and an air mattress and that's about it. I've been talking about selling most of my remaining music gear lately, getting down to bare necessities and everyone on here keeps trying to talk me out of it. I'm still selling it anyway, but no one is buying right now.

Apart from furniture and music gear, I could pack up my personal effects and move across country again without checking any bags.

Hey I'm just trying to kill half an hour with lighthearted controversy here.

You're probably right, but mostly I just want the satisfaction of saying "fuck you stuff".

He can still share his opinion on the topic.
The question was a bit of a joke.

We can make this a game. What isn't the dealer responding?
What is the gender of the dealer? Doesn't matter...
I'm thinking they are taking a wicked shit and forgot their phone.

And I'm thinking HUGE. Like, hold on to the toilet or you'll be air-born.

I sometimes get these huge poops that are solid on the inside but smooth on the outside. They go out so fast that my hole starts cramping. You ever had one of those?
