I wear my instruments high as shit. Like Tom Morello high. I'm 6'3" And have really long arms so if I try to "Korn" it up my wrists hurt like shit.

2. If you have long arms, isn't that better for that sort of thing?

This also why I prefer playing basses with "guitar shaped" bodies vs basses with horns, I have long arms and it brings the the neck away from you vs closer so less joint bending..

Yes, I like letting my picking hand hang low, but it's just a matter of figuring out angles for fretting that don't feel like they're going to give me carpy toonello.
