The hardcore thread got me all nostalgic. I wish this band stuck around for more than one album. Dudes from pg99 and city of caterpillar (probably among other).
Did you hear the demos that robotic empire posted up a couple years ago? I think most of it ended up as Verse En Coma stuff. The Malady record is an absolute classic, one of those albums I listen to then immediately flip over and put back on again.

never heard about demos from Robotic Empire but Verse En Coma rings a bell, I'll have to go check them out.
Yea the Malady record is amazing. Another one around the same time period/genre is Trasistor Transistor Erase all Name and Likeness. Absolutely love that record.

tbh I found Verse En Coma disappointing. The Malady demos are (were?) on the robotic obscurities blog. If they've been taken down I probably still have them somewhere.

So, I'm tired, have loads of reading to to, and on top of that I need to review the new Disclosure album, which really isn't my cup of total sonic annihilation. So, staring out into the air without doing anything, I thought to myself: what's that band galvar keeps talking about? So now I'm kicking it to this:
Yeah GISM is great stuff. Wish I'd grabbed a copy of Determination when it came out in the spirng -- Balked because of the cover ('cuz, I mean, what do you do if someone shows up at your pad and it's out or something) and because I wasn't sure who to email. Shouldn't have been such a pussy about it.
But, yes, rad. Good call.
Why did I get to post the worst one of the trifecta? haha...
I love GISM...too bad about the album cover, but I did some digging, looked inside, thought about it, talked to some people, and I think I know what Sakevi tried to do (though it didn't come off well at all...but yea, long story PM me if you want it...not going to put people through a bunch of speculation...but the rest of the art focuses on Snowden, military prisons, stuff like that). Mental Illness is terrible though and I wish Sakevi the best.
Umm, D.o.S. check your PMs.
I should be getting copies of both videos too at some point.
Gauze...they still play. They are aweome. They have this weird concept of "sound fast but play slow" that they try to do. Gauze is the beginning of a long like of Japanese Hardcore. Members of Gauze were in Typhus (female vocals, members of G-Zet and The Stalin too [Tam]).
Gauze produces albums here and there too...NK6 was one of those.
I hope you are digging it all, man. I love Japanese Hardcore/Punk/etc.

Thanks for the protips, man. I'm really digging this stuff, as I assumed I would. Just what I needed right now. Having to listen to glossy soul-shit is close to torture for me, so punk helps. Not saying that Disclosure sucks or anything, it's just not my thing at all.

Replace Disclosure with some Disclose and you'll be good. haha. (also, it's just about all the d-beat you'll ever need or want haha) I'm glad I talked my friends out of seeing Disclosure at a festival.
Syphilitic Vaginas was a one man GISM/Balck Metal worship band from Sweden haha (there are actually a few of these band floating around that have secret members...I know there is one from Russia too).

That's dope, thanks again dude. Maybe I should start a one man hardcore meets prog project. Or maybe not. Hah. But still, awesome musics, love the feel of this stuff.
