My band is getting tighter every practice. I'm starting to get more comfortable doing some vocals here and there. We're definitely starting to develop a cohesive sound too. I love that. A bunch of songs and riffs and shit that I didn't think really sounded cohesive before, suddenly sounds like it could all be on the same album, if that makes sense. We've had a couple "Holy shit" moments where we had perfect timing or something just clicked. Fucking stoked.

My bass player said we sound like a weirder, meaner Man or Astroman. My drummer has compared us to Shellac. I think we sound like shoegaze Fugazi. Shoegazi.
I was just listening to Man or Astroman for the first time today. Been wanting to make a heavy surf rock kind of thing and stumbled on them while playing random stuff on youtube. I guess what I'm saying is, let me know when you get some recordings done :thumb:

Had a killer phone interview today. After a shitty afternoon/evening of ennui, I got a frozen pizza and some gin. Now I'm watching Duckman.

Defcon 54321 and 1000x are closer to what we're doing than the instrumental stuff, but the bass player encourages me to bring the surf. Mostly in the sense that I like spring reverb and fast palm muted picking. I need to up my whammy bar game a little bit though.

I'll definitely let you know! We want to record more than we want to play shows I think. But we're cranking out songs like crazy. Every old riff I've never used is being brought back to life. We'll get something good soon. My bass player has a pretty decent recording setup.

Iommicpope used the word "efficacy" and it's one of my favourite words. Also at that point of exhaustion where everything is substantially funnier than it should be.

I love the fact that half the time I go to check out pedaldemos on youtube, it's either like J, IM, Darcy or another ILF'ers video that pops up.

I got you, babes

Quit my job for something new.
Terrifying but good feels that are long overdue.
