As much as I wish I could have called her a horrible piece of shit to her face and vented all my stored rage, the greater reward is seeing my bad roommate walk out the door knowing I never have to look at her condescending sour face ever again.

:!!!: :thumb:

Roommates are the worst. I've honestly never had a pleasant experience with one. I think we're all weird and it's a real struggle to put up with eachothers shit. I'm saying that outside looking in, I'm sure I was shitty roommate too. Loud guitar playing, violent movies, electronics projects all over. It's not like I burned the house down or left rotten fish on the heater in the apartment or something ridiculous, but everybody's little peculiarities just turn into smoldering embers that eat at us.

You did the right thing Boss.

I'm going to spend some time with someone who thinks I'm neat today. I don't remember the last time that happened.

I was an hour early and she was half an hour early. We sat at Culver's for 3 and a half hours, chatting and laughing. She was a true Southern Belle. We held hands and hugged at the end of the night. She texted to let me know that I was the proper amount of geeky and compared me to John Cusack. Slow and steady, as it goes. It was pretty great.

I start my new job tomorrow, half a week early. They called me in early because they are so eager for me to start. A new day.

Today's conversation. You're copay for your 6 days of medicine is going to be $1000.

Oh wait, I found a coupon. Your total is $0.

Roller coaster of emotions there, the American medical system is weird

This is what happens to me every time one of my kids gets sick. Here's a collections bill for $2000, because we took your kids temperature and prescribed antibiotics. Pay it immediately or we'll ruin your life and credit forever. Oh, wait, you want us to double check it? You have insurance and gave us your info at the time and paid $45 copay? We're cool, nevermind, just ignore that bill I guess.
