Something to add some texture to your amp OD... like a velcro texture or dirt noise booster.
Hazelwould have some great idea there too!!

Are you talking like switchable diode clipping to add dirt?

My BYOC triboost in germ treble boost mode does get dirty when really cranked, but you get germanium noisiness in the circuit before that. Sometimes radio signals

Yes but different texture.

DO it! I wanna get some deets. I wear my sticker on my guitar with pride because of my fuck.

I let my other guitar player play with it today, and he prefered it with minor fuckage going on. Sounded so sweet. Really unstable and organic.

Would this kind of thing be good on a lot of other pedals like when running active pickups/uber high output passives or slamming a pedal with another... let's say a Devi Ever (ridiculous amounts of gain on tap)

I mean could it be practical as a standalone or in a lot of other pedals?
I know they have what is just basically pedals with only a volume pot but isn't there anything better?

I feel I am being kind of stupid for asking this I am just freaking tired of my EMGs overloading my fuzz. :picard:

yeah it would be good for those other situations...
there are other ways of lowering the volume, but the volume pot setup is by far the simplest which is why that's what you see around. :idk:

i'm going to hit the breadboard today/tomorrow and try a few different things -
mostly check out which transistors are working for me, check out the eq range, etc.

This is good news, I was looking into the Wren and Cuff Phat Phuck but I think I'll wait for this one to drop :yay:

ok so the preliminary results were great! it's still a pretty simple NPN rangemaster, but it has some basic tweaks which change the circuit from a one trick pony to a horse of a different color... :p

the controls at this time (though they may be renamed?) are:
input volume, pre-EQ, bias, volume. i tried leaving off the bias control, but i feel like it's extremely useful in shaping the sound and everyone would want it externalized.
