These?

The Framus' are almost double the price which might warrant for some better quality. I have only tried one of the Höfners and I was not impressed at all. A dude I know has a Höfner Verythin which is a bitch and does not stay in tune for more than three minutes which makes me not go to his band's shows. I'd go Framus. But I always had a fascination for those guys cause I was born in the village they come from yet never played one. (I am not sure if it's not the same village that Höfners come from though.)

Found a couple pics of the Semihollow DC, another cool, vintage vibe Framus...maybe not these particular finishes, but styling is well done, imo.

Like i think i could even like that type of trans burst but it's just too busy with the other stuff.
Yea, think they come out of the custom shop only so it could look however you pleased. Bird inlays are no-go in every situation though, imo.
And I have no idea on cost, I'm sure it's too much, just tried one out awhile back and it played well and sounded even better. It was a plain top in tobacco burst, looked good!

I'd love one of those and they play really well, but actually the ones in the OP replaced these guys. I think they only build them on custom order now.

I was thinking that £600 (£660 for the doublecut) is a pretty good price for a guitar made in Germany. The quality of every modern Framus I've played has been faultless. Even though, as some have pointed out, the design of the their 'Framus Series' guitars is dodgy to say the least.

Hey Tim! Nice to see you on here!

The Black Rose DC is essentially my #2 guitar. My school got a few of them in and they're very similar to the higher-priced Maton guitars in feel and sound. I'd love to be able to buy one but they're stupid expensive here (as I suspect in the UK too?) and I could get a neat custom guitar for that kinda of dosh. I haven't really looked for one online but I'm sure there are places in the US that would be willing to ship.
EDIT: Wow, I just read the new price! They've dropped something chronic! Interest rising...
