hmmm i was always told it was 2 octaves apart..... i'm learning new stuff everyday!

*edit* should have realized that talking about .90 gauge strings when a standard bass E string is 1.00 :facepalm:

Either way i've given up on the massive downtuning idea, I'm just gonna stick with my BDoom tuning and tell me project mates to finger out something else if it's not low enough for em..... hell even the all mighty SUNN O))) only plays in drop A and thats kind of the generalized tone this project is going for with guitars and bass....

No, strings are measured in parts of an inch. Saying a bass string is 1.00 would imply that it is an inch across. You've gotta move those numbers back one decimal place to be correct. I can guarantee that the lowest string on that 9-string is not 9/10" in diameter.
