Because we suck, that is actually why. In my job I am constantly measuring stuff, which means fractions all day. I'd love it if the Us saw the light and went metric... but I don't see it happening... after all "THIS IS'MERICA! WE CAN'T HAVE THINGS THAT MAKE SENCE!"

Feel your pain, 6'8" means a Jazz Bass looks too small, and a strat, well, I'm playing a mini-strat.

I agree with this, but then you have to bring up the issue of stone. It's a measurement of weight based on a system of measurement that is no longer used in that country and only used when you're weighing people. It's like absurdity squared or cubed or something.

The guitar is huge and I believe broken now too. It's also a 7 string beast. Nick plays a beauty of a Greco Les Paul custom with three pups these days.
