but my lady just got me one of the new tele baritones for my birthday this year, so I should wait.
I do really like the tele but an EGC guitar would be total sex. and then i'd be sad about not playing the tele anymore
I can't do that to my special lady - the tele is a total player already.
my major holdup is a bigger need for some better synth ampage. guitar and bass stacks still leave much to be desired.
I should just buy a dumb JBL 2X15 2000w powered sub.
Is that the new Bariton Telecaster Fender have just released? I'm really interested in those.

My standard also weighs in at 11lbs which is pretty insane compared to say, my other guitar, a Jaguar. Not exactly back-breaking, but not light by any measure, and the neck dive can get annoying until you grow accustomed to it. I use a Couch deadstock strap with it, so it has a decent amount of grip, and that coupled with slinging it pretty high makes it more manageable. I wouldn't recommend going all punk rock on it and playing at your crotch, you'll probably get a slipped disc.

I wish I had known this!!
Yeah I bet you can counteract the neck dive with specific straps and just using it a lot to learn the tricks. But personally, if I'm spending €2000+ on a guitar that takes months to arrive, I would want it to be perfect. That's the joy of the buying custom and what it makes worth the extra money than, say, a second-hand Gibson Les Paul double-cut. Otherwise it's just an overpriced production model.
