broken neck'd gibsons when done right are good guitars with an extra $300 in your pocket.

I bought a 1968 LP custom with a neck break/repair for $1200 !!! great looking and playing.
foolishly sold it. saw it on the wall in GC last time i checked they wanted $5000...

I had a Hamer Standard (Gibson Explorer metal-era USA copy) for years with a broken headstock. I didn't even see the crack until the previous guy told me it was there, it was done that well. And the guy who did it was pretty much a hack.

How good it'll be is skill and how clean the break was.

I rebroke it later but it wasn't the fault of the repair, and it was dead clean and even I could repair it.
