From what I understand, Dano + Foxx were related companies in their early days, which explains why they are capable of cloning the original so well.
But I think this "Wooly Mammoth" business is probably just coincidental if it's actually stated in one of their manuals.
Anyway, I now own TEN Danelectro pedals, and it really sucks because my FT is the *only* one that's slightly dysfunctional... Something like a bad solder joint on one of the jacks that causes it to occasionally break out in an annoying hissing sound until I knock it a little. BAH.
I love the sound, though. Need to try it on bass then.
