doommeow also posted at least one of these I think, as I was typing. Kind Amplification is a good place to buy from when they have deals. That's who service my YBA-1 and they did a great job. Some of those are under 100W, but they have HUGE transformers and they're really loud, just with a little dirt. I really like my '70 YBA-1 with dirt pedals and I've recorded a lot of other people with it who loved it too. It's one of the loudest amps for it's rating I've ever played. There's some other good stuff on there right now for at or under $500, depending on your taste and you can probably get a decent 4x12 for $350 or under.

Whoa thanks dudes. I need to step my clist game up. Been camping out there but didn't even see most of these :thumb:

Also that Sunn 4x15, what in the wut :wha?:

I'd also go talk to FatDawg @ Subway Guitars in Berkeley. He mainly deals in guitars, but usually has a few odd ball and/or high wattage amps floating around.

(also prepare yourself for the possibility of being invited to his hippie farm and him encouraging your lady to get with the naked)

Camping out for good deals on the SF CL is a sport. I'm not in competing shape anymore, but I've still got some heat.

I live literally a block away from that place  Was there last weekend. Fun times.

I kept the 50Ws off my list, but they should definitely be considered - especially those two in the $300 range.

Yeah, it's one of those things where I wouldn't even recommend it if I didn't own one personally and done a lot of head to head shootouts with it. I've compared it side by side with two different YBA-3 heads, which are much higher rated in power. They're basically about the same volume, within 1-1.5dB, the higher power ones just have more headroom. In my experience, it's got just the right amount of dirt at max volume (which is pretty low on the dial, after that it just saturates) to make most pedals sound killer. If someone wanted a pristine clean high volume amp, I wouldn't recommend it.

Also what do you guys think of Sunn Beta/Concert Leads? I've seen some floating around for okay prices. Couple guitarists I really like use them/have used them so :idk:

Edit: Corey, saw in the clist thread you had a Beta Bass available?

I like it a lot on guitar, it's the same as the lead minus the reverb, fairly loud with the right cab(s), pretty good for pedals, though I really like the built in distortion. Most of the time I've used it or let someone else borrow it, it was used as part of a two amp rig. It can be pretty loud with a full stack, using some speakers with good sensitivity.

Yeah, I still have it. I just took it down, because people kept offering to buy it, then flaking lol. If you're interested, you can shoot me a PM about it. I'd much rather not have to ship it anyway.

I kinda feel bad about the Bossk thing as I think it was either some kid or someone with a mental handicap. But enough was enough. How many times do you have to ask the same damn question?

If you are lurking bossk. no hard feelings, but think about how you present yourself to people.
