Re: Doom/Stoner/Sludge albums of 2015
I've been listening to these two albums a lot lately:
Karyn Crisis' Gospel of the Witches. This one came totally out of left field for me. I knew her work in Crisis but this is very different - doomy, ritualistic, with lots of layered and diverse vocals (from her and from the guy from Immolation - I'm blanking on his name now but their voices really complement each other). We're playing a show with them in July and I am so psyched about it.

Ichabod's newest album - Merrimack. I love their live shows and I've been waiting for a new album for a while now...this has been on repeat in my car for a while now

I have been rocking Elder and Monolord on heavy rotation. Can't get enough of either album.

That new Monolord delivers the goods quite nicely. Not surprised, though. Empress Rising was a killer record.

Nearly forgot that Ice Dragon released a new album. Enjoyable, but a bit short.

Album is killer. And Bong have a new record (because of course they do) but I haven't heard it yet.

Agreed. That album is a monument to sludgy raw prog.LOCOPELAND wrote:I'm already on the new Elder. Favorite release this year.
New HOF is delivering as well. Best tone Matt's had since DITC.
