Just finished it. I thought it was pretty good. I get why they included the whole history bit, but when you've read and heard that story so many times it felt a little long-winded. The second half of the movie was much more enjoyable for me. I thought the editing was fairly good and the pacing was on point in the second half. Quite US-centric, but understandable from a production standpoint. I love how they brought up forums just to shit on them because we are bullies "chained to our mom's basement eating dog food and wanting to watch the world burn". But yeah, overall not bad and an enjoyable watch, but it wasn't made for me and I'm not sure who it was made for. Too shallow for gear nerds and too nerdy and long for people who just enjoy listening to/playing some music.

Wow damn I know that’s probably not directed at this forum specifically because everyone is very nice and pleasant here but wow okay let’s try to keep it civil!!

I heard Alchemy Audio or somebody trashed Sehat in that movie? Like criticizing the guy’s wiring inside pedals or something? Senate pedals are pretty damn cool (I haven’t played one yet). Was there trash talk specific to builders and stuff in the movie? If so, that’s pretty lame (without context to a bigger story...like a mike fuller, vertex, that blues company).
I see enough of jhs trying to tell my YouTube feed “not interested”
I haven’t seen the movie and doubt I will. Mostly just curious about the Sehat thing (and why Sehat of all people. Dude is really nice beyond everything else. I’ve talked to him about guitars and punk a bit here and there).
Edit: Damn autocorrect.

Klon!
...
We as a whole as a community tend to make those that think they are pedal/gear "journalist" / "influencers" / "review personalities" run screaming... we are not nice to them.. but then no one should.. even their mothers should be disowning them and beating them down with waffle bats if they haven't already..

They cross faded between different forums (including ILF) when they talked about forum toxicity, but the quotes all seemed to be from TGP. Maybe some other forums as well, but definitely not from ILF.

Thankfully those other forums will soon go under once the Clapton/srv/jaco modeling pedal with built in note choice ai is perfected

but you won't get the right tone because the tubes haven't been coated with Jimi's brand of cigarette smoke. So you might get CLOSE but it will never be THAT SOUND.

I’m just going to share something really personal with you all right now - I am selling my house and currently I AM living in my mother (in laws) basement and it’s very frustrating and I find this very personal attack to be my tipping point! And yesterday my dog threw up in the night and I stepped on her dog food barf and I do not care for this line of insult from reverb dot com!
See how “toxic” is this place when I know I can rely on you all for support during this difficult and challenging time in my life?

Seems like you should tweet to some pedal builders about it.

I built my first pedalboard when I was living in my great grandmother's basement for a few months...

I think that is just some Instagram drama. I watched the movie and remember seeing 2 people from Alchemy for a second but don't remember what they said probably because I was half asleep. I think you referring to this:

I don't know how you can crap on another builder and then sell something that looks like this, haha:

The movie was super mediocre as one might expect. Like a better production value fuzz the sound that revolutionized the world even though I think that one was more enjoyable. Or maybe it would have been way better if they didn't feature the JHS dude so much. That really sucked.

Not gonna lie, kinda over JHS' dumb face everywhere. Its getting really hard to escape it at this point...
Like the pedal market is bigger and more diverse than ever, why the fuck does is always gotta be him? Ugh.

Let's not diet-shame the dog food eaters. We're better than that.
