Funny enough, I just got an email from him. The powdercoat was backordered but finally shipped to him so I'm getting close.

Yeah I think so too. I'm just not a big fan of tort for whatever reason. It'll look even more like a Bean that way too. Actually, it'll look eerily similar to one of Garcia's Beans

skullservant wrote:Its a tough call on the necks though. I love them both. Polished seems just a tad faster but that's just in my head, I know it is. The neck on the yellow one, even though it is so similar to the white one, the polished neck and powdered fretboard just seem to take it to a different level. Like I feel like my white EGC is a machine, this one is like a Cadillac.

Having had a chance to play to play both this weekend I would have to agree. Both of yours are similar but very different at the same. The Bean definitely feels like a Cadillac or Rolls Royce it just screams high class but mean, he white one though is a freaking assassin. One setting KILL and it does that well.

I personally preferred the raw neck on the white one, it just felt smoother and more natural in my hands while the bean's glossy neck still kinda felt like a normal guitar neck (just way more solid).
