For real! I only wanted to play a couple songs. I'm going back next week and taking my amp with me. Not sure about the pedalboard though. Its sort of a country blues bar but the drummer I'm courting (heh) is a regular player there.

Oh, cool, my SVT is fading in and out when I use it. Gotta take it to a tech. Thankfully, it's not like I LEAVE FOR TOUR IN TWO WEEKS OR ANYTHING.
Now I probably have to return that 335 I just got. But, priorities take effect, amps>guitars

Fuck, I should probably be elated, my last exam (EVER, as an under grad anyways, might want a grad degree someday…) is tonight.
I have been having a hard time really studying hard, the worse part is that I flunked the first exam in this class..pretty hard. I have fought hard and if I get a solid B on the exam I can make B- in the class.
I have had 5 whole days to study and I have only done about 2/3 as much as I had planned on…fuck.
I am going to have a crazy ass day.
To celebrate finishing college I am going to start training for my full-time job tomorrow.

I will! I'm gonna try to get some cash together to go to Shaky Knees this year. Cause Modest Mouse and Violent Femmes, Portugal the Man, Iron and Wine, and I don't know who else, but FUCK YEAH MODEST MOUSE AND VIOLENT FEMMES! I wanna do a doom cover of Country Death Song.
Outkast played in a field about 5 miles from my house this weekend. The bass was shaking the walls. It was nuts.

I wanna see the Violent Femmes

I met the guy who backs them up on guitar on tour. They're all from Milwaukee.

My last little band/project whatever did a mathy Tera Melos-esque cover of Blister in the Sun. We played the main riff normal the first time through in the song, but then we chopped it up and made it all nutty, but still recognizeable. It was a lot of fun to play.

Mild irritation : I have to
not pass up the next chance I get to date a cool girl. I passed a couple up in the past because they didn't live close (now they live closer...) and for other "meh" reasons. Now I'm kicking myself...... dumb.

and this. They play the least-common instrument, have the hardest practice-space requirements, have to want to play the same style of music, be stoked and reliable, AND not be crazy or flaky. For me there's the extra requirement of wanting to play in a serious band and not just jam once in a while. Headache.
