you can already do this in mode 3, just loop your favorite portion of the song by plugging your ipod into the pedal. voila, 3 copies even.

hahahaha I didn't know it would ever be possible to make billy corgan's voice higher and whinier, but I guess at double speed +1 octave with a lot of feedback my dreams can come true :yay:

latest bleeding edge firm now up here. Tested it but if you find any bugs let me know.

For the 8 seconds standard delay , it is easier to achieve with this firmware, but still not that easy.

Go to mode 1.
Quantize to get 1:1 forward easily, set that with DIR 1.
Set LEN B fully CW. (up to heare is probably what you tried with old firm)
Push and hold Q up.
With Q held jiggle LEN B then leave set at fully CW.
Release Q switch.
Tap the soft switch (led should flash white briefly if tap is detected).
The delay is now ~8 seconds.

If you read the post linked above you may get why that is how you achieve 8 seconds.

The other features added are explained in the post.

Enjoy.

Yes we will still do it but not all the newest features can work on rev h/i/j unfortunately. The last few days have been really the first time i have had a moment to sit down and code in quite a while so hopefully i will have an update in teh next week or so for older versions as well.

Ah i see, well then, you will have to have good balance or sitting on a chair but i guess one way to approximate this is you could put the expression pedal to LEN S, transcendence on, soft switch held down, and then play and rock the expression pedal randomly while you play? (:

6? 7?

Sorry I'm bored and also don't understand most of what's said in this thread.

I love my CT5 tho!!

Maybe an idea for the CT5: This is something I miss from most of these kind a experimental looper/delays. I want to use it as a table top effect so I can manipulate the knobs with my hands. But the problem is that you have make loops with your foot. Now you have to bend over each time to manipulate the knobs which distracts from your playing. If you could connect a separate footswitch that does the same thing as the left switch of the CT5 to the expression pedal input that would be a solution and you have your hands free for turning the knobs. Is this possible for future updates?

He said he's going to release instructions for a mod to do that.

multi_s wrote:also some people asked about how to add an additional jack for remote footswitches. this way you can tape teh pedal to your guitar/table but still use a footswitch to record etc. im not offering this mod really but i will post the info on how to do it, quite straightforward

ok great, didn't see that. Very cool! What kind of a remote switch could be used to do that?

My guess would be any momentary stomp. Don't know if it needs to be normally-closed or normally-open, that would need to come from the man himself. But it's as easy as wiring the couple wires going to the stomp to a jack and just running a mono cable to a box with a switch in it.

Unless it's a double-pole switch but I doubt it.

probably not happening, the interface is already a bit of a circus. even i have issues remembering all the settings but Nick G. already emailed me to say he's updating his nice reference card he made so at least that should be available soon as a cheat sheet. but if you want a custom firm i will make you a mod for a reasonable price. i will do it no problem for something within reason. shoot me an email if you want.

yes it is just n.o. momentary for the soft switch. you can replace the bypass too, but it will not be true bypass this way, it will just turn off the wet side of the mix. I am going to mod my test unit next week and take some photos and post it. it shoudl be very easy. You can use a stereo quarter inch cable/jack and make a separate box with both buttons. beside the exp jack there is just enough space to put another jack in i think but i have not done it yet so i cannot confirm.

My god.

I've just been getting used to the latest rev. Haven't even turned on transcendence yet.
And now this.

It is not my intention at all to be ungrateful. I am very happy with all the work you put into it and it's great that you do these updates! I have missed a few pages of this topic because I thought you were still on vacation and I didn't get any email notifications. So I only saw the posts about the trigger since today. :)
Love my CT5 very much the way it is. It was just an idea.

About the trigger: yes thank you! :)*
I am anxious to try it out. But I don't have a windows computer so I have to find someone who does. Can take a while.

Great job on this update Scott! Everything is so great. The modulation and the random stepping is exactly what I didn't know I needed from this pedal. I'm still trying to get a grip on the concept of the triggering in mode 1 though. Anyways thanks so much for being the best!
