Theyre scared of what the other blues lawyers will think. I used to work at a bar that had a lot of those guys play there, and it was like a dick swinging contest when it came to their gear. Instead of the fuzz camaraderie we have here, it was like catty underhanded comments about whose gear was superior. When I went to an open mic recently, the bass player providing the bass amp got super pissed when they asked him to let me play a couple songs, and left with his rig. Its ridiculous around here. Even the metal scene is really elitist here. I see people bashing other people's gear all the time on the local music scene Facebook group. And god forbid you try to promote your non-metal show on there.

Its really no surprise that I can't get a decent thing going here.

And would everyone please stand, open your hymnals to page 666, and join me in singing "fuck the usps"

It feels like we skipped Spring and went straight to Summer. I'm sitting in my room in nothing but boxers, with the fan on, and it's so hot that I'm starting to feel sick from the heat. I think I'm going to throw up.

Man my wrist is pissing me off lately. my fretting hand used to hurt so i tried short scale. now my wrist on my picking hand hurts. I cant seem to find the right height for my bass. I had to move the strap buttons to help with neck dive (Squier jaguar bass) and now it seems like there's no good position for me. I either have to bend my picking wrist awkwardly or I cant get past the 12th fret or any number of annoying things. Maybe time to try a new bass. Maybe short scale wasn't the way to go. Fuck.

Despite my three visits to the PO in the last 48hrs they can't seem to find my copy of the new Swans record. The one that I preordered last year and paid $100 to help crowdfund.

I just worked out my budget for the next five months. Unless I can find a summer job/internship/something to get some money I only have about $1200 a month to live on... :erm:

You'll be fine, just taper off your fun activities.

That really sucks, I am very sorry to hear that. And it is not even about the money- it is the fact that you help support something, bought a limited edition of something that you probably can't get anymore, and then didn't get. Just remember though that it is a federal offense if you attack one of those guys, so be careful with your threats and shit when you talk to them and/or kick someone's ass.

Hope this gets worked out.
