You'll be fine, just taper off your fun activities.

Yes. Welcome to the last decade of my life. Even though I make a little more than that right now, my increased living expenses keep my budget suuuuuper tight, especially if I want to save for anything. I drink like once a month and even then it's maybe just one or two drinks, eating out is about the same frequency, and forget girls

I would take $1200 a month if I could do anything that I was even remotely interested in instead of working in a grocery store. So sick of this, but I have no good ideas on how to get out.

I'd have to find a place where I could consistently make enough as a waiter who has two full sleeves of tattoos. :idk: Plus it's still customer service with the general public. Maybe I'll keep my eyes peeled anyhow.

My job makes me wear long sleeves to cover my tats. I know its still customer service, but theres so much more potential for money. I have worked places where I consistently made 100+ dollars in a 5-6 hour shift, 3-4 nights a week. There was usually one night a week i made less, and one night where I would make closer to 150. That's around 600 bucks a week on a normal 5 day work week, for 30-35 hours.

And if you get a job at a corporate restaurant (like me, at Chili's) you can get insurance through them too. Im not trying to make a career out of it, but its damn good while I'm in school. So good, in fact, that 3 years after quitting, I went and asked for my job back.

You should definitely give it a chance. It might be just what you need right now.

And think of the gear you could buy.

i was just posting on another forum where the subject of the birds around our houses came up. it reminded me of the hummingbirds at the Little House In The Redwoods and now i'm trying desperately to hold back the tears as i miss the home i loved, yet again. I'm never going to get over this stuff, am i?

I got a bunch of bird doody on my car and a parking ticket during work the other night. That's sad, right?

To be fair, I don't pay for parking ever and only get a ticket every three months which is economically sound.

Otherwise, I wish I had some weed and something (or someone, murrr) to do.

Might get even kinder after tonights pre-listening session for our record and tomorrows date with a cute girl that is actually interested in me.

This was me in the happiness thread on monday.

In the meantime the mix of the record is far from perfect, the cute girl wasn't at all like I expected, damn internet dating. And to top it all off I got fired.

Wow, May seems to be even worse than the rest of this shitty year.

well, maybe, maybe not. i try to control my reactions, but sometimes they're just overwhelming. the only thing i know of that helps with things like this is time, with whose passing things slowly begin to hurt less.

Did very very very very bad on an exam after putting in 40+ hours of studying.

Plan:
-Today: Drink
-Tomorrow: start going over old exams to fucking SLAY the final in three weeks

I feel like going to grad school is simultaneously the best and worst decision I've ever made. If I end up scraping by and actually getting my degree, I'm golden. If I fail out.... I think I'd prefer a quick death to being stuck in some POS town while slowly dying at some dead-end job.

I think it depends on your focus. If you focus on the things that remind you of what it was like back when things were "better" or whatever, it'll keep you from enjoying where you're at now. While that can be hard to do, it seems like that's the only way to really put something behind you: focus on what's good now (or at least what has the potential to be good), not what was good then.

You're not allowed to be a cute girl on an online dating site who is into 90 percent of this same shit as me and not respond to my message. Not cool.
