The irony being that I said it because I read him as someone who would respond well to that. Reflective behavior is not one of my better traits.

My marriage has hit a bit of a rough patch. But this sort of rough patch has happened before and it is so emotionally draining. I dont really know how to explain without oversharing. I'm mentally preparing myself for the possibilty of separation. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Thanks dude. I may take you up on that. I need to vent, just not in a public forum. And I can't tell my friends cause they all hate their significant others, and their only advice is "Leave!"

Dude, marriage is fucking hard. I put my wife through Hell and it still took me far too long to realize that after all my insanity and misbehavior, she was still there.

I'm really struggling today. I've been on the straight and narrow, doing my best. I've been honest and true and forthright. I understand that I have a history of bad behavior and that causes suspicion, I really do. That said, being treated like a scumbag removes the impetus to not be a scumbag. There's a hole. An emptiness. I will struggle against the nihilism.
