Didn't you start your modular recently ?

I need to get some sort of cable holder too, which one do you use ?

Yeah it's only really been 6 months or so. But there was also a good year of planning and thinking about it before that, and on top of that I've sold most of my guitar and other synth gear.

This is the cable holder I have: http://www.ctrl-mod.com/product-p/cable ... -black.htm

Dude, tell more about that Ginko case. I've been seriously considering having my buddy help me build a case along the same style as the Goikes, but your setup is looking real sharp. Do the rales have sliding nuts? If so, how do you like them? What is your power situation? Looks like a uZeus and Make Noise board? Any future changes with your power setup?

If I were to go that route I would probably order two cases, since he doesn't offer the width I am wanting. That way I would have room to grow since I could almost fill one up as it stands. It just sucks that it would cost more to power it than the case itself. Shiz is 'spensive.

Yeah they're sliding nuts. I haven't run into and real issues with them yet, but I've heard most people hate them (not specifically Ginkos, just sliding nuts in general). The case itself was really easy to build, the only worry I had was possibly piercing the back when installing the make noise power (and yeah I have the MN power and a uZeus, in the future I may upgrade to an Intellijel power source though). Someone on Muffs actually had a pretty genius idea to install the power bus on separate boards and Velcro them into place in the Ginko case. I wish I had seen that earlier. Because the wood is so thin I probably wouldn't recommend touring with it, but the occasional gig/ just studio set up would be totally fine. Technically, I believe you're expected to paint or at least finish the wood too. I'm probably not going to any time soon though. Might just cover it in stickers.Oh and it's somewhat sketchy getting it from the manufacturer; I wasn't given a tracking number and it didn't ship out until a couple weeks after I ordered it. The owner is super nice though, great customer service.

Tl;dr: quality is good even though the wood is pretty thin. Shipping is somewhat sketchy. Great customer service. Overall, perfect case for studios/home, probably not recommended for touring.

Also having two would be pretty sweet. I'm picturing having a second one and installing the cable holder and a Koma Komplex sequencer in between the two. That won't happen for a long, long time, but it would be awesome

I've been wanting a theremin for a long time but I can't quite decide between the Etherwave and the Theremini. If price wasn't an option what do you think about both? I've already got my elaborate guitar pedalboard that I'd run these into so I don't necessarily need the effects of the Theremini but it might have a few cool extras I can't already cover. i wonder if the straight theremin tone of the mini can really compare to the larger Etherwave. I'd be using this for more highly processed textural work and eventually for some lead stuff when I can get compentent with pitch accuracy.

I have a theremini and it's really really fun, the sound editor is pretty easy to use and the animoog engine is awesome. That said, if i wanted it to play standard theremin sounds with I'd go with the Etherwave. It's constructed much better and I can imagine the standard theremin tone is a lot better.
