one enters upon dangerous ground when one considers "upgrading" The V.

So.. I just ordered a 58 body and neck from https://precisionguitarkits.com/
After my experience with my lp jr I’m pretty confident in a better end product than you could get from Gibson… their fretwork alone is worth it. I know… I really needed a 7th flying vee…. :animal: but my thought is I could offload some of my epiphones and stuff and have fewer nicer guits.. plus I have almost all the parts laying around..

this seems like a solid plan and one i've envisioned along similar lines with respect to my own deal, though i've reached the point where i just want to sell first, then see about more projects :snax:

more power to you :thumb:

also, came here to mention the whole "gibson sent a cease and desist to kiesel" hornswoggle...brouhaha...fooferaw...malarkey...merhumblegrumble
as usual, i am slow on the uptake.... :idk:

Neck glued, first try-oil coat on.
Going with Black winters :bear: I took them out of my epi sheridan
Still working on the wiring concept.. don't know if I want a tone and am thinking series / parallel push pulls for less mud some times...
tuning like always will be B standard

OK, since we're postin' videos, Blackened Soul, please do a cover of this:

(I realize it was the '80s, but what the fuck is going on in that video? :whoa: :trippy: )

Make it more like Shawn Colvin though:
