What are those other synths? It's tough to identify them from that angle.

It was a bad angle wasn't it, I'll have to get some better ones, I've got the Nektar LX88 driving a Yamaha Motif Rack, and Roland XV-5050 and the DAW. Roland Apro800 driving a Waldorf Blofeld. Korg M50 driving a DSI Mopho, Roland JV-90 driving a Roland JV1080 and a Juno Stage driving a EMU Protus2000.

I fucking hate the way patch cables look on modulars because I can never figure out what's going into what.

There, I said it.

Even if I liked the sounds coming out of modulars, my ocd would never let me own one because of all those wires everywhere...

hahaha! It's gotten to the point now where if I think of a new sound I want to make, i probably have to go modular because it defies the architecture of the "hard wired" synth. But those kinds are much easier and probably more effective for live use.

Also, you need to own a modular to understand the unique feeling you get when you finish playing with/recording an awesome patch and you remove all the patch cables from your modules to make something new.

I am the exact opposite. I absolutely love the chaos of wires sticking everywhere on a modular
There's a strange kind of beauty in it to me

Visually I think they look super cool. I just don't like not knowing what things are, and why things are sounding the way they're sounding.

I've been seriously pining for that polivox pedal that got put on the backburner b/c of real life. I love the way that filter sounds, and having it in a stompbox would be tremendous.

i tottaly feel u DOS...i had to scoop a shruthi like 60% just for the filter board, cuz the filter options out there for non-modular ppl is like sooo non existant, or they are all giant and expensive. (speaking of, there is a pretty rad polivoks filter desktop unit made by erica synths)

theres not a lot of filter pedals that aren't envelope jawns either. WATSTHEDEAL??

Oh my.

I might have to put some stuff in B/S/T for that.

psshhtt, that isn't even that big! looks rad too. i'm talking moogerfooger LPF, sherman / rack unit type big w/ weird power supplies.

the only other filter pedal i know of is the iron ether xerograph // dlx or the alesis modfx philtre, which is kind of not even really a pedal.
oh and the new source audio jawns too. so i guess theres a couple.

there are some other desktop units out there, waldorf, biscuit, and prob a few others i can't think of atm. (i've looked intot his alot if u can't tell..lol)
but like for a lil more, the shruthi made sense cuz its like a super dope synth also.
