Uh, does pot stay in the bloodstream the same as in piss? The blood test sounds pretty circumstantial at best, especially if nothing else was flagging dui in the stop. If you're in a state where reefer is still criminal, you might have to just deal with the lesser charge, though, which still sucks.

Cannabinoids can be detected in the bloodstream up to 3 months after entering the system. They bond to lipids which means they get stored in fat cells and take an awful long time to break down.
So not really circumstantial but more of a loophole cops will employ to nail you whe they can't get you any other way.

That does suck, though.
You may potentially argue that you hadn't smoked that day and that you don't drive and smoke if your levels were low enough or that you are an occaisional smoker (or that you haven't already admitted to smoking earlier when giving a statement). But if youve been smoking everyday I wouldn't bank on that.

I think you will be at best trying to reduce the charge as much as possible, but you are still gonna have to cop it sweet man.
Definitely get a lawyer. Damage control is their area. Especially for a first offence

I'm still wondering why the cop was checking out his socks?

sobriety checkpoint, they literally search half the vehicles up here when they hold them. its a joy. and after searching the vehicles they search you. while looking in my shoes and than socks for anything he commented on the pot leaf socks and things went down hill from there.

What? Do they literally search everyone who passes through? Because that sounds like bullshit.

yeah, and it seems like it should be illegal to conduct a search like that.

Feels like I don't have any time either. I'm envious of peeps like SLK who just seem to fucking crank things out 24/7.

hahahaha its all good man, whats the old adage? The truth is funnier than fiction. :p

I am as well, I'm cranking out shit constantly just nothing fun or exciting like music, its usually work or chores.

Depending on the state, it is. As it does not provide probable cause. for example: Does wearing a Budweiser t-shirt give all cops I pass a reason to breathalyze me? No it does not, it just shows you are a fan of the product, it in no way implies that you are currently using the product. Thusly the cop in this situation went off of a hunch instead off of evidence that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that he is or could be under the influence of the drug. Also due to the federal ban on marijuana research there is no legal number usable to determine if your unable to drive legally like there is for alcohol. They can detect the presence but since that presence can stay for atleast 28 days they will have a very hard time proving that it was used within the time frame that he was driving the car.

It'll be pricey but lawyered up he should be able to get it dropped at best, and nolo prosequi 'd at worst.

Punched my univox in the face last night.
Super pissed about that guitar
Mostly my own doing
bought a rewire kit and fresh plastics and completely friggen lost em all
now the volume and tone knob are crapping out completely
Dug through the garage and basement and everywhere else I can think of with absolutely no results
Don't want to buy new stuff but can't play the guitar as is

May just hardwire the pickups to the jack for a while and keep searching for the re-wire stuff

cut my hand punching the stupid thing

went to my lawyer, he pointed me towards a very reputable dui lawyer. apparently in pa as soon as any nano caniboids are detected its game over. he said we could challenge it because i was clearly not intoxicated and i passed the sobriety field test. the eye test that i "failed" is inconclusive and 50% sober people fail it. however since its first offense and my career would get trashed with a record he severely advised against fighting it, apparently if i just plead guilty and give them a shit ton of money it all goes away. and 6 weeks of probation. not that i care. bye money. fucking aye. fuck the police. bullshit waste of time and money.

Dude that completely sucks.

I get why they slam down on DUI DWI stuff, but this seems excessive.

I always feel like checkpoints are more of a cash grab than an actual safety precaution
